Hatta is a town in the United Arab Emirates located in the foothills of the Hajar Mountains. It is an exclave of Dubai and is located about an hour from Dubai city. It is separated from the main part of the emirate by territory belonging to Sharjah (which is part of the UAE), and Oman.

Hatta is best known as a heritage village.

Local taxis are available around the clock for customer convenience although usually transportation can be provided through the hotel, depending on where you decide to stay. Local taxis are approximately 50 AED per hour - negotiate with the driver before getting in.

Heritage village - free entry - walkable from station - interesting recreation of a typical village in the restored Hatta Fort.

Dam - small dam built to prevent village from flooding with rainwater from mountains - spectacular views from here. Bit of a walk - might be better with a taxi.

Hill Park - literally a hill that's a park! Very steep , lots of steps, 2 viewing points (with covered seating/barbecue area)on the way to the top. Fantastic views. Good view of the new residential areas.
